Waste Management

Recycling programs have been implemented for reusable waste. For this purpose, we partner with large institutions to recycle waste generated by our activities.

What have we achieved?

Over

386

tons of paper recycled

Over

550

kilos of plastic recycled

Over

17,900

kilos of electrical and electronic waste recycled

Over

3,200

liters of used oil recycled

Recycling of Paper and Cardboard

Since 2016, we have participated in the “Recíclame, cumple tu paper” (Recycle me, do your part) program, an initiative organized by NGO Aldeas Infantiles SOS in collaboration with Kimberly Clark. It seeks to raise awareness about recycling paper and conservation of the environment, as well as to raise funds to cover a complete meal program for children. Every 2 tons of paper recycled covers all meals for a month for 6 children from Aldeas Infantiles SOS, keeps 5 trees from being cut down and saves 39 liters of water.

Over the last 4 years, 386 tons of paper have been recycled through Sustainable Campus and our Ecolegios (Ecological Schools) campaign. The results are:

Over

1,100

children have received free meals

Over

4,200

trees protected

2 years

1st place

Electrical and Electronic Waste (E-Waste)

Through the “Reciclemos para Transformar” e-waste program in partnership with Entel, recycling electronic devices is promoted, taking advantage of components that can be reused and discarding environmentally hazardous waste responsibly.
