This is our handbook that facilitates learning about sustainable practices that can be employed by our USIL Corporation. In it, our Sustainable Campus lines of action, as well as recommended actions one can take in the office, can be found.
Since 2015, USIL has been conducting the “Ecolegio, tu acción tiene eco” (Ecological School, your actions have an echo) campaign, which seeks to raise awareness among school students throughout Lima and Callao about reducing, reusing and recycling paper. They are educated about the environment so that they will be responsible citizens, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and caring for the planet through efficient daily actions such as recycling paper.
Over the course of four years, USIL has gotten over a hundred schools to join the “Ecolegio, tu acción tiene eco” campaign, recycling 215 tons of paper. This means that, from 2015 to 2018, cutting down 3,666 trees was avoided, and 17,254 cubic meters of water and 1,024,450 kilowatt hours of energy were saved.
